Two Irrational Criticisms of EB-5

The Continuing Resolution passed by Congress to temporarily continue funding the federal government under current guidelines and legislation has opened the door for more unfounded criticism of the EB-5 program. Following are two of the more irrational arguments against the EB-5 program.

Number One: It is economic suicide. Proponents of this argument won’t say it exactly that way, but they will say that the EB-5 program “is doomed to fail by design because it is against the principles of economics.” This argument says that using EB-5 when traditional funding is unavailable, the investment is doomed simply because tradition funding sources showed no interest in the project.
