For the first time ever, the status of visa numbers for the EB-5 Regional Center Pilot Program is listed as “unavailable” for all country allocations.
This action has been taken in light of what is now the imminent sunseting of the program on September 30, 2015. Unless Congress passes some form of legislation to keep the program in place, there is currently no point in making visa numbers available.
Should Congress extend or renew the program, the status will revert to “current” for all countries except mainland China. Nonetheless, the cutoff date for China has been moved ahead by one month. It is now October 8, 2013.
