Invest in the USA (IIUSA), the EB-5 trade association and advocacy group based in Washington, DC, has drafted a letter to Congress, urging it to “enact an immediate reauthorization of the EB-5 Regional Center Program.”
Although the letter is printed about Executive Director Peter D. Joseph’s name, he has invited any companies and organizations to sign in what is, hopefully a massive display of support for the Regional Center Program. So far, a total of 640 signatures have been added, including public and private sector entities. The list includes eight national and 632 state and local organizations.
Time is passing rapidly with no visible action from Congress for this economy-building program. The program will sunset on September 30th, if Congress does not act. The letter encourages Congress to make the Regional Center Program permanent. It is currently renewable, with Congressional action, every three years.
